Harford County Public Schools is now ALLOWING Indoor Use for Youth Sports.  We are excited to have a 2021-2022 Basketball Season.  HCPS has advised some COVID measures will need to be followed.  Mask for spectators are REQUIRED but players will NOT be required to wear masks while playing.  

Registration will OPEN on Monday September 20th and will stay open until Sunday October 17th.  

We look forward to seeing you back on the hardwood this season.

All players should arrive with appropriate basketball attire and water.  Basketballs will be provided. 


General Information:

· Age Group: Age group determination date is 1 September.

· Season: Teams can start practice on 1 November. Most leagues typically start the season with one or two games in December prior to the Holiday break. The season typically ends in late February; however, there some league tournaments can extend into early March – especially with a lot of weather-related cancellations during the season.

· Leagues: There are multiple options for league play. Harford County typically has a Boys Sunday League and there is usually a league on Friday and Saturday evenings run out of Glen Arm Sports. League play is up to the individual coaches. There are Baltimore County leagues as well that a coach may decide to join. Some teams may choose to play in one or multiple leagues. Inquire with the specific coach for 2019-20 plans.

· Practice Schedule: Practices will be held at NHHS. Specific days and times will not be determined until all teams are formed.

· Fees: Team budgets consist of (League fees, Uniform fees, Tournament Fees). League fees vary but are typically around $825 per team. New teams and players to existing teams will have a uniform fee. Reversible uniforms are around $80. Tournaments vary but are around $400. Most teams simply add up the total fees and divide by the number of players. There is also a head tax of $15 per player that goes toward the rec council general fund.

· Tournaments: Tournaments play is up to the individual coach. There is typically an “Early Bird Tournament” hosted by Emmorton Rec in December and various other tournaments held in the Spring, Note that the Sunday Harford County Travel league hosts a tournament at the end of the regular season. This is not an additional fee.
