North Harford Rec is proud to offer online registration for those programs that wish to take advantage of this convenient feature.  Below is a list of all the current open online registrations available to you.

2026 Cheerleading Guppy Gulch Day (Dept #27)

📣 2026 North Harford Rec Cheerleading 📣

Come join us for a family fun day at Guppy Gulch on August 22nd! ALL are welcome!

NOTE: AT LEAST ONE PARENT/GUARDIAN MUST REGISTER ALONG WITH THEIR CHILD REGISTRANT(S).

Guppy Gulch, a former slate quarry, is a 15-acre freshwater reservoir boasting inflatable slides, climbing walls, a rodeo pier, paddleboards, and jungle-gyms for kids and adults alike on which to challenge and enjoy themselves.

Check-in begins at 9:30am; the water opens at 10am and the last horn blows at 4:45pm

Bring the whole family and coolers for a day of fun! There are charcoal grills on site. Everyone is provided aqua socks and a life jacket. If your child is under 50lbs you must bring your own coast guard certified life vest.  

Children under the age of 8 are welcome but it is required for them to stay within arms reach of a responsible adult while in the water.

Harford County Scholastic Chess Tournament (Dep #7)

North Harford Chess Program is hosting a chess tournament.

Harford County Scholastic Tournament
  • 07/25/2026
  • Two sections: Rated Swiss and Unrated Quad
  • Rated starts at 9:15 am and Unrated starts at 10 am
  • Players cannot play in both
  • (Division 1) Rated Swiss 5 rounds - $30
  • If you have a chess rating and are in 4th grade or higher, please sign up for the Rated Swiss registration
  • (Division 2) Unrated Quad 3 rounds (round robin) - $25
  • Optional Add-on US Chess 1 Year Youth Membership (Under 19 at expiration date) - $21

Offseason workouts for boys high school basketball players, and those who want to try out for high school basketball; eligibility for rising 9th graders through rising 12th graders (classes of 2027, 2028, 2029, 2030) (Note – Participation in the offseason program does NOT guarantee a spot on the Varsity or JV basketball teams at North Harford High for the 2026-2027 season)

2026 Cheerleading (Dept. 27)

Join us for our fall cheerleading season!

  • We are offering squads for athletes ages 5-14.
  • Our season begins the week of July 27th and ends November 8th.
  • Practices are held Monday-Friday for two to three days a week.
  • On Saturdays we will be cheering at football games and have competitions on Sundays.
  • Cost: $150
  • Uniform tryons will be held at Coach Sarah's house, 4055 Grier Nursery Road, Pylesville, MD 21132 on June 13th and 27th from 10-12. It is mandatory to attend one of the two dates.

We will be getting NEW UNIFORMS this fall season! If you are needing a new uniform you will be required to put a deposit of $200. This will be returned
at the end of the season when your uniform is returned in good condition.

2026 Hawks Football (Dept #19)

This registration is for NHRC Hawks tackle football for children from the ages of 6-14 (i.e. 8th Grade & Below).

Cost:  $ 250 for all age groups

  • Registration will open at 9am on February 15, 2026 and close on April 30, 2026.
  • Registration fees will include a custom reversible jersey and equipment rental.

Age groups and team member limitations:
  • 7U Tackle - Jimie Huffman
  • 8U Tackle - Brad Barnes
  • 9U Tackle - Tony Kelly
  • 10U Tackle - Russ Smith
  • 11U Tackle - Jeff Klingler
  • 11U Tackle - Rob Orlando
  • 12U Tackle - Dave Deutsch
  • 14U Tackle - Will Otto

All range of experience accepted!
  • Level 1: Clinic - Instructional/Basic League Competition - UCYFL Federal (C) Division Aspirations - Even playing time for all - Approx 36 practices, 9 games, and 1 team event per season (Aug-Oct) - minimal fundraising and uniform requirements  
  • Level 2: Recreational - Average League Competition - UCYFL Federal (B) Division Aspirations - 14 play minimum for those that qualify w/ additional time earned - Approx 40 practices, 11 games, and 2 team events per season (Jul-Oct) - medium fundraising and uniform requirements 
  • Level 3: Travel - Best League Competition - UCYFL National (A) Division Aspirations - 10 play minimum for those that qualify w/ additional time earned - Approx 50 practices, 13 games, and 3 team events per season (Jul-Nov) - high fundraising and uniform requirements 
  • Level 4: Club - State Circuit Competition - Tryouts - All playing time is earned - Approx 60 practices, 15 games, and 4 team events per season (Jul-Dec) - extreme fundraising and uniform requirements 

There are 2 options for equipment fittings:
  • Sunday, March 22nd (2pm - 4pm) @ Highland Center (708 Highland Rd. Street, Maryland)
  • Sunday, March 28th (4pm - 6pm) @ Highland Center (708 Highland Rd. Street, Maryland)
Note: All participants are required to attend one of the two in- person fittings in March.

Your assigned coach will be contacting you in June regarding practice dates and further instructions.
